high protein Chocolate Waffles

Serving size: 5 waffles

  • 100 g whole grain spelt flour
  • ½ pouch of Classic Chocolate Fugo (45g)
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • ½ medium banana (mashed)
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of sweetener of choice (date/maple syrup)
  • 200 ml dairy-free milk (oat, almond, soy, hemp, etc)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds 


  • Mix the chia seeds with three tablespoons of water 
  • When the chia egg has set, combine with Fugo Classic Chocolate, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, apple cider vinegar, and your sweetener of choice.
  • Add some of the plant-based milk of choice. The dough should be pretty thick at this point.
  • Let the waffle dough rest while waffle iron preheats.
  • Bake according to waffle iron instructions.
  • Serve with toppings like syrup, fruit, puffed amaranth, coconut chips, etc.
